TripperLife Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: July 2026
Legal review required: the operating legal-entity name and registered address, and this entire agreement, must be confirmed by counsel before publication.
These Terms of Use (also the End User License Agreement, or “EULA”) form a binding agreement between you and TripperLife (operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], “Tripper,” “we,” or “us”) governing your use of the TripperLife app and website, including our paid features. By creating an account, subscribing, or buying content, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the paid features.
For apps downloaded from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies as a minimum baseline; where these terms are more protective of you, these terms apply.
Subscriptions — Tripper Pro & Creator Pro
Tripper Pro and Tripper Creator Pro are auto-renewable subscriptions offered as monthly and annual plans. Current prices, billing periods, and any introductory or free-trial offers are always shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. Pricing is subject to change; see the in-app disclosures for current pricing.
- Billing & auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your store account (your Apple Account or Google Play account) at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime through your store: on iOS, Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > Payments & subscriptions (or Tripper Settings > Manage subscription). For iOS, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge.
- End of access. When you cancel, you keep subscription benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate or refund partial periods.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Subscription benefits include a higher creator earnings share on itinerary sales while your subscription is active (see Creator Seller Terms), plus the other plan features described in the app. Earnings-share benefits are not perpetual: if your subscription lapses, sales made afterward earn the Free-plan rate, while earnings already accrued keep their original rate.
Legal review required: confirm the auto-renewal disclosure wording against Apple’s Schedule 2 contract text (not only the published App Review Guideline 3.1.2).
Legal review required: California Automatic Renewal Law annual-reminder duties for annual plans (currently satisfied by the app stores’ subscription centers).
Paid itineraries — marketplace & buyer terms
Legal review required: these buyer/marketplace terms in full.
Some itineraries are paid content. A paid itinerary is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks that itinerary on your Tripper account, including offline access. Purchases are tied to your account — sign in on any device to access them. The paid badge and price are shown on the card before you buy. Prices are subject to change; the current price is always shown in the app before purchase.
Who you buy from (seller of record)
Who you buy from depends on where you buy:
- App Store: Apple (for example, Apple Distribution International Ltd. in the EU) is the seller / merchant of record under Apple’s Media Services Terms.
- Google Play: Google is the merchant of record where its Developer Distribution Agreement lists it; otherwise the developer is, with Google acting as agent / marketplace service provider.
- tripperlife.com (web): [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is the seller of record, selling as a marketplace on behalf of the creator, with payments processed by Stripe. (Web sales are a planned future feature; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.)
In every case, the itinerary content is licensed to you by its creator for personal, non-commercial use in the Tripper app.
What you are buying
Itineraries are creator-authored travel suggestions offered through Tripper’s marketplace. We facilitate the sale; we do not author the content. We do not warrant that venues remain open, that prices remain current, or that an itinerary suits your particular preferences or travel outcomes.
This does not affect your statutory rights, including any right to digital content that conforms to its description and preview.
Legal review required: the “as-is” disclaimer may exclude only subjective quality (taste, weather, venue closures) and never technical conformity with the preview/description; a US-only variant may be broader.
Refunds
How refunds work depends on where you bought. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the App Store, Google Play, and web-sale rules.
Seller transparency
Creators sell as private individuals unless they tell us otherwise. Where a creator sells as a business, or where the law requires, we display the seller’s business details at the point of purchase. We monitor selling activity and may require additional seller information as our platform grows.
Creator Seller Terms
Legal review required: these Creator Seller Terms in full (reviewed together with our UGC/community terms).
These terms apply when you sell paid itineraries on Tripper. You accept them at your first paid publish, and again if we materially change them. In summary: you keep the rights to your work; you give us permission to sell it on your behalf; you earn a share of net proceeds by plan; and payouts are subject to a threshold, a schedule, and a settlement hold.
Before you sell on Tripper
- You keep the rights to your itinerary. You give us permission to sell it to buyers on your behalf across the App Store, Google Play, and the web.
- You confirm the itinerary — including every photo — is yours or fully licensed, is original, and breaks no law or third-party right.
- You earn a share of net proceeds by plan (Free 50%, Pro 75%, Creator Pro 80%). Rates can change with at least 15 days’ notice and apply only to future sales.
- Payouts start at a minimum balance, are paid monthly after a settlement period, and can be reduced for refunds and chargebacks.
1. License grant & survival
You grant [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] a worldwide, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, display, market, and distribute/sell your itinerary through all sales channels (including Apple and Google as marketplace intermediaries and the web). Each buyer receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use the content in the Tripper app. Survival: licenses granted to buyers survive termination of this agreement and of your account — buyers keep access to itineraries they already purchased.
2. Content warranties
You represent that your itinerary is original or fully licensed; that every photo is yours or fully licensed for this use; that it infringes no third-party right; that it contains no unlawful content; and that it complies with applicable law.
3. Indemnity
You will indemnify Tripper for any breach of your content warranties above.
4. Fees & commission
Your earnings share is a percentage of net proceeds (the buyer’s price minus app-store / payment-processing fees and any taxes withheld), set by your active plan: Free 50% · Pro 75% · Creator Pro 80%. These rates are subject to change; the current rates are shown in the app. We may change commission rates with at least 15 days’ notice; changes apply only to sales made after the effective date, and already-accrued earnings keep their historical rate.
5. Payout terms
- Minimum & schedule: payouts start at a minimum balance (currently $25) and are paid monthly.
- Settlement hold: a sale becomes payable only after it has settled with the store and is at least 60 days old (matching store settlement).
- Clawback & offset: refunds, chargebacks, and fraud are debited from your balance.
- Negative balances carry forward against future earnings and are not silently forgiven.
- We may place a per-creator hold where required for verification, compliance, or risk.
Payout threshold, schedule, and settlement period are subject to change; current terms are shown in the app.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for all taxes on your earnings. We or the app stores collect and remit sales/VAT-type taxes on buyer transactions where required. Your payouts are gross of your own income tax. We may withhold amounts or require tax documentation where the law requires.
7. Tax-data consent
We may collect and report your identification and earnings data to tax authorities where required, including under W-9 / W-8 information reporting and, for EU creators, DAC7. Payouts are gated on completing any required tax forms; if a taxpayer identification number is missing, backup withholding may apply.
Legal review required: the 1099-K vs 1099-NEC characterization and the precise DAC7 reporting scope.
8. Takedown & effect on buyers
We may suspend sales or delist an itinerary on notice or for policy or legal reasons. Buyers keep access to copies they already purchased. For web-rail purchases of a taken-down itinerary, we may offer a goodwill refund at our discretion; store-rail refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
9. Suspension & termination notice
If we restrict or suspend your selling, we will give you a statement of reasons on a durable medium. Full termination follows 30 days’ prior notice with reasons. Cases of fraud or illegality follow a fast-path exempt from the notice period.
10. Termination & balance disposition
On voluntary closure, any positive verified balance is paid at the next cycle. For-cause termination may result in forfeiture only to the extent lawful. If we cannot reach you, your balance is held (not deleted) and may become subject to state unclaimed-property (escheat) law.
Legal review required: state-by-state unclaimed-property (escheatment) treatment of dormant creator balances.
11. Disputes
In the US, disputes are resolved by arbitration with an opt-out. EU and UK consumers keep their local courts and statutory rights.
